- We put a SCSI-2 drive in this A3000 and it works GREAT! Transfers are
- more than twice as fast as with the original drive! Has worked perfectly
- (almost) for almost a year and a half. The (almost) part is this: the
- new drive spins faster, so takes more time to spin up. Result: drive
- would not show up on power-up, only after warm boot. Solution:
- SCSI-Prefs, to set the spin-up time to 2 secs instead of 128 milliseconds.
- Takes a few seconds longer to boot, but finds the drive OK first time.
