  17. We put a SCSI-2 drive in this A3000 and it works GREAT!  Transfers are
  18. more than twice as fast as with the original drive!  Has worked perfectly
  19. (almost) for almost a year and a half.  The (almost) part is this: the 
  20. new drive spins faster, so takes more time to spin up. Result: drive
  21. would not show up on power-up, only after warm boot. Solution: 
  22. SCSI-Prefs, to set the spin-up time to 2 secs instead of 128 milliseconds.
  23. Takes a few seconds longer to boot, but finds the drive OK first time.
